OUR STORY
Sewn is a homeware brand founded by Becca Thurston in 2019.
After designing and making cushions for her home, she decided to take a leap and set up Sewn (formally Sewn by B). Sewn is a British-made company selling a range of homeware items, with a focus on soft furnishings and known for it’s signature stripes. Becca’s meticulous eye for detail and design has established Sewn as a brand that creates premium quality and timeless styles at attainable prices.

Avoiding trend driven homeware and encouraging our customers to make more considered purchases is at the heart of Sewn’s ethos. Many of our products are made to order and with a zero-fabric waste policy, central to our sustainability practice, we create seasonal products from our off cuts, sending no waste to landfill.
We have made a huge effort to upgrade all of our brand packaging to ensure it aligns with our values. Here are a few ways Sewn has implemented sustainable practices in an effort to protect our environment:
Our swing tags are made from premium paper that is recycled and recyclable. Our striped tissue paper, which is printed on recycled paper, can be reused for gift wrapping. Our embossed stickers, textured thank you cards and packaging tape is all made out of recycled card and paper types that are FSC-certified.
Many of our products are made from 100% linen, a natural fabric made from robust flax. Flax doesn’t need any fertilisers to grow, meaning linen can be produced quickly without damaging the environment. Widely known for not only its beauty but its longevity, it is twice as thick and durable as cotton and washes extremely well. Our linen products are long-lasting and improve with age.
Supporting causes close to our heart
£1 of every sale will be donated to Furnishing Futures CIO via Work for Good. A charity supporting women and children fleeing abuse to restart their lives in a new home. For more information please take a look at their website.
